Displacement Map
It's been a few months since any activity transpired on this site. My sincerest apologies. It's been a busy year thus far. This is a simple polygon object with a tiled material applied to it. It was then subjected to a displacement map with a few tweaks to give it a more rounded surface. I rendered it with a few settings such global illumination and ambient occlusion to give it a more realistic feel. I'm still learning about lighting and rendering as well as the basics of modeling and etc... Once I get better acclimated to these fundamentals, I'll try to post some more samples.
